After graduating from the Rocky Mountain School of Art in Denver I started working as a designer/art director for several leading design and advertising agencies in the Denver and

San Francisco Bay area.  In 1995 I started Kuehn Design primarily as a freelance designer/illustrator catering to advertising and design firms and continue to do so to this day.

In addition to graphic design and digital illustration I also do a lot of artwork in other mediums such as watercolor, pastel

and pencil as well as collages I create using found objects we collect along the beach. With this assemblage art, I take

what nature has started and then apply my sense of design to it, making each piece unique and one-of-a-kind.

Most recently I have been working in soft pastels, I love the spontaneity you can acheive with pastels and the way you can capture a complicated subject with just a few simple strokes.

Currently my wife Diane and I split our time between South Florida and Western North Carolina. Both locations have spectacular scenery which is a constant inspiration for my landscapes and collage art. When not designing or creating art

I enjoy cooking, mountain biking, hiking and fly fishing.
